Recognize Common Scam Warning Signs

Fraudulent messages often try to create urgency, fear or excitement so that the recipient acts before verifying the request. ROSVIX helps identify common patterns that may indicate suspicious or deceptive content.

What you can analyze

Paste suspicious emails, SMS messages, WhatsApp messages, payment requests, online offers or other text that you want to review for common scam indicators.

What we look for

The analysis looks for patterns such as unusual urgency, requests for sensitive information, suspicious links, payment pressure and other characteristics frequently associated with scams.

What to do when suspicious

Do not click links, download unexpected files, disclose passwords or send money until you have independently verified the sender or organization through a trusted communication channel.

Automated analysis has limits

Scammers continually change their techniques. A message with few detected warning signs can still be fraudulent, so always consider the sender, context and request before taking action.

How to assess a suspicious message or offer

Scam reviews are most useful when a message asks for money, passwords, verification codes, urgent action or personal information. The purpose is to slow down a decision that a sender wants you to make quickly.

Common warning signs

Look for unexpected urgency, unusual contact details, impersonated brands, inconsistent wording, shortened links, payment requests and attempts to move a conversation away from a trusted channel.

How to verify

Contact the organisation using a known phone number or its official website. Preserve the message as evidence and do not share passwords, recovery codes or banking details.

Important limitation

No automated checker can determine intent with certainty. Results should support careful verification, particularly when money, identity documents or account access are involved.

Example: a payment request with urgency

If a message says an account will be closed today unless payment is made, slow the process down. Independently find the organisation’s official contact channel, verify the claimed balance and do not share one-time codes, recovery codes or bank details through an unexpected message.
